From October 9 to October 11, the All Baby & Child (ABC) Organization will host the annual ABC Kids Expo at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. According to ABC, this expo will showcase “the world of juvenile products – all in one place,” all because of a partnership between juvenile industry manufacturers and retailers coming together to promote the children’s products industry. This partnership was originally designed as a business league to organize trade shows to benefit manufacturers, retailers, distributors, and manufacturers’ representatives of children’s products and has grown to be one of the biggest.
All areas of the children’s products industry will be showcased, including exhibits by both manufacturers and retailers. The exhibit space will give exhibitors the opportunity to meet face-to-face with potential clients—buyers from the U.S. and around the world. It will also allow exhibitors to show their products to the media, to gain more exposure. There will be easy access to fellow manufacturers , giving exhibitors the opportunity to engage with each other and develop relationships. The ABC Kids Expo is the premier juvenile products show and it presents the best opportunity for exhibitors to take home orders and get leads that will help sustain and grow their businesses for the coming years.
This trade show is considered the largest exposition of juvenile products in the western hemisphere, and thus attracts many exhibitors, buyers, and visitors not only from the U.S., but from around the world. ABC provides many resources on their website (theabcshow.com/international.asp) for potential international attendees, such as help with travel and accommodation, visa information, and tips for visiting Las Vegas in particular, and the U.S. in general. There is even an International Buyer’s Lounge at the show, where international attendees can relax, freshen up, and even charge their devices! International buyers, exhibitors, and attendees are more than welcome at the ABC Kids Expo, as are domestic buyers and attendees.
The stats for last year’s show are truly impressive.
This year’s show will have some featured exhibitors and sponsors such as Bellefit Maternity, HALO, babyMaternity, Olá Baby, and Malarkey Kids. There will be a handful of seminar-style events and other events that are put on by ABC. One such event is the New Product Showcase Reception, from 4:30pm to 6:30pm on Monday, October 8. This event is open to the media and specialty stores only. Another event, the Brooklyn Bowl, is open to all attendees. This event will be free of charge to all registered attendees, from 7pm-9pm on the opening day of the show, Tuesday, October 9. This key event will present the Awards of Distinction as well as make announcements about charitable contributions that have been made. There will also be the new “Juvie Games” that will feature the attendees as participants. Food and drinks will be provided after the tradeshow closes for the day. On Wednesday, October 10, the second day of the show, there will be a Runway Show. This live event will be a “unique opportunity” for exhibitors to feature their products in motion, with kids and other demonstrators putting on a theatrical show using their products. It will be hosted by Julianna Erdesz, the former Miss Nevada. Finally, on Thursday, October 11, the last day of the show, there will be a seminar-style event called the Open Forum Meeting, where exhibitors can meet and address the ABC Board of Directors with any questions they may have.
