A Lifetime of Experience Creating a Focused Vision
Jose Garcia is the perfect example of a president whose understanding of the needs of his business comes from hands-on experience. He began working for owner Ruben Dominguez at the age of 17 as a warehouse worker, developing his expertise in the 3PL and transportation sectors literally from the ground level up. From that start, he was promoted to warehouse manager before obtaining his Class A drivers’ license and becoming a top driver for Westset’s sister company, Total Transportation & Distribution, Inc.
As his career progressed, he moved into dispatch, before becoming first the terminal and then the transportation manager. He demonstrated not only his ability to optimize the efficient and time-effective handling of goods, but also exceptional skills in managing staff, improving safety, and providing excellent customer service.
In his new role as president of Westset Logistics, Jose is implementing a team approach to provide the best customer service in the 3PL industry. His experience with every facet of the business gives him unequalled insight into the vital role warehousing and distribution plays in keeping our clients’ operations running smoothly. His vision is to provide superior solutions for warehousing, distribution, LTL shipping, and drayage to our clients in Southern California. Jose is also president of Total Transportation & Distribution and will continue to run both companies with an eye to providing the best service for the best value in the business.

Westset Logistics was founded by Ruben Dominguez, who built his companies from the humblest of beginnings to fulfill his ambition of providing the high level of service to customers he felt they deserved. Ruben continues his involved leadership to this day, and his companies’ growth and the loyal customer base they have developed over the years have proven that his dream spoke to a true need in the transportation and logistics industry.
Today, Westset, which is strategically located near the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles, as well as Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), provides Class-A 3PL services to both domestic and international companies for industrial and consumer products. Our total warehouse space is over half a million square feet, managed with state-of-the-art third-party logistics software that gives our clients detailed, accurate visibility into their inventory. Services include container handling; warehousing; repackaging; labeling, sorting, and pricing; kitting; cross-docking and consolidation; fulfillment; domestic transportation; pallet, case, and individual item picking; EDI processing/GS 1-128 labels; and GT IN labels.
